The leader of the current generation, Sony hopes to overpower Microsoft in the upcoming "next generation." Although the system has yet to be released, it seems safe to say that no huge controller innovations will occur. After seeing the controller's design, many fans have become scepticle and have verbally attacked Sony to return to its dual-shock design. Sony though, seems confident, and claims that the new "boomerang" shape (as the gaming public has named it) will enhance ergonomics and create a much more comfortable gaming experience. Like the Xbox360, the Playstation 3 is also wireless out of the box... With the 360 and PS3 doing little to offer controller innovation, it is fortunate that the next console, the Revolution, makes up for their shortcomings with leaps and bounds in controller capability.
